General info
GPX info
- Most problems with GPX files are caused by file size (too large) or the download itself (older devices also tend to struggle with larger files).
- The GPX files are generated according to the (Garmin) GPX standard. If your navigation device or app isn't accepting it, blame the device/app, not the GPX (notify me with your device/app if you think I’m wrong).
- The GPX file contains Garmin-specific icons and symbols. These are widely supported but may not work on all non-Garmin devices.
- All descriptions from the KML are cleaned (HTML code and pictures are removed). Note that descriptions are not supported by all navigation devices.
- Not all tracks contain elevation data, as the original KML file does not include elevation information for every track. (use GPX Studio to add elevation data to the GPX file)
Tips on navigating with the GPX
- Make sure you get to know your navigation device before traveling to a country like Morocco.
- Make sure you have a backup navigation device. For example a phone with Guru Maps or Maps.me where you can import the GPX file(s).
- No, you can't use a TomTom for TMT.
